Default History files in MS Word

I am currently using MS Word 2000 and was wondering if there's a way where I
can find out previous version of the file. I have a files which is updated by
other person in my team. I want to know how was the file before he made
changes.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

There are only three ways to get that information:
1. If you have a backup of the file from before the changes, get a copy of
it.
2. If the other person used the Tracked Changes feature, get a copy of the
document and reject all changes.
3. If the Versions feature was used, look at the earlier version. (This is a
rarely used feature, properly so because it tends to result in document
corruption.)

Otherwise, there is no history or other way to figure out what was changed.
