Automating deletion of text blocks using buttons.
I have created a document that contains a paragraph or so of explanatory text
at the beginning of each section so users will know what kind of information they need to enter in that section - the document is for software business requirements. What I want users to be able to do is go to a section, read the explanation, and then click a button, which will delete the explanatory text so that users can then beginning entering the information requested. Is this even possible within Word? (Note: I have never used macros much, but I'm willing to give it a shot.) |

For short explanations (one line or less) you can use macrobutton fields.
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/fields.htm#MacroButton. You could use comments to hold your explanations, as well. Otherwise, you could use what Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles.
