Default Date-Time Issue with Merge

In my merge from Excel - my date displays as mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss
I only want the mm/dd/yy portion. I have tried {MERGEFIELD "Finish_Date"
\@ "mm/dd/yy"} and I still get the other format. What am I missing?

Have you tried updating the fields?

The switch should be \@ "MM/dd/yy". Sorry, I missed that.
