Were you using the speech feature? Word is "hinting" that it was turned on,
possibly accidentally. Click on Tools in the menu and see if Speech is checked. If it is... then click to remove the check. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along. http://www.herbtyson.com "Aerozona" wrote in message ... Herb:
No, I was not using the speech feature. This began after upgrading from the MS support Center. It seems to pop-up occurs as often as the automatic save feature invokes. Any other ideas? simply delet voice input from your language input setting (right click on
language bar and select "setting") will clear this error. "Aerozona" wrote: Herb: No, I was not using the speech feature. This began after upgrading from the MS support Center. I'm having the same problem - MS Word occasionally, seeming randomly, decides to try to save speech recognition data with a file. I have checked, and Tools/Speech option in MS Word is NOT selected. Can any one suggest how to eliminate this problem? I do not want to uninstall speech recognition (and I'd rather not change the language setting as suggested by another post if I can avoid it) - only to leave this feature off until I activate it. thanks in advance, Gregg |

The web link was more than helpful. I got this error message even though
speech regocnitin was not even installed. So I could not turn it off. ;-) Unchecking "embeded linguistic data" did the trick. Perfect solution for Word 2003 with Japanese IME. This issue has been
bothering me for ages. Now I can finally work in peace.
