Why would AutoCorrect not work in some Word files?
My AutoCorrects don't work in two new files received from someone I receive
Word files from frequently. My AutoCorrects work in other files just fine. What has happened to cause this, and what can be done to fix it? |

AutoCorrect is language dependent, so if the text in the new files does not
have the correct language applied, AC will not work. To test, go to Tools | Language, and see what comes up selected. Those are the settings for the cursor location. To fix, ctrl-a to select all and apply a Language. I assume you *are* typing new text into these files, right? AC only works on new text as you type, not retroactively.
