Cross-referenced footnotes should appear at the bottom of the page that
includes the cross reference. Preference is to use the ibid format. For example if footnote first appears on page 3 and a subsequent reference to the same footnote is made on page 5, then the original footnot should be repeated OR add an indicator at the bottom of the page indicating the page where the original footnote can be found OR use the popular ibid reference format but include the page number of the orogianl when the footnotes are not contained in a footnote summary section at the end of the book or the end of a chapter. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Just go buy EndNote or some other bibliographic management program....you
are asking for specialized features that apply only to a small portion of the user base. Endnote.com Procite.com Refman.com PS. Ibid's not so popular anymore...
