Hi! I am writing a thesis with 9 subdocuments in a Master document. All
headings of each subdocument I have given the standard heading style with outline numbering to. When I open the master document, however, no numbering appears in front of my headings (although the Master recognizes the heading levels). I have to go through the entire format, bullets and numbering, outline, heading process for each heading, then it works. Is there a way to do this for the entire document at once? It worked in the past for me but now I am using Word 2003 and it's stopped working. Please help, my deadline is fast approaching! Thanks a lot! |

Thanks Daiya, the links were very interesting (and all in my Favourites now)
and my Master is, for the moment, behaving reasonably well, but I still have to change each heading by hand. However, now these changes do not go away on every close! Yea! Thanks again!
