Need some help with error message

Default I am getting an error message Winword caused an invalid page fault

Is anyone aware of how to correct this?

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff9db61.

Reinstalling rarely solves problems because it does not overwrite your
personal settings (Normal.dot, the Windows Registry) or clear the Startup
folder(s), and those are the sources of most common problems.
