Problem won't go away ( to 9/18/05)
My post on 09/18/05
I'm running Windows XP, Small Office w/Word 2002 Obviously, I need to do a clean re-install. Question: For a clean install, should I just re-install Word, or should I re-install the whole Office suite? |

If you open Word and load a blank page, is the black bar present?.. -- Mike Hall MVP - Windows Shell/User "billybob" wrote in message ... No, it's clean, Mike. I'm wondering if it may have something to do with
"textboxes", or a "drawing canvas". There is a textbox on the first page. Any ideas? |

It will be the textbox or drawing canvas that is causing the problem.. I am a little surprised that it appears in all of your documents, and suggests that it has been accidentally saved as part of the blank page 'template', such that when you create a document, it automatically appears.. Copy a text file, or text off of a webpage, paste it into a blank Word page, and see if it appears again.. you will need enough text to flow into a second page, so just paste it twice.. -- Mike Hall MVP - Windows Shell/User "billybob" wrote in message ... Okay, Mike! I'll give it a shot in the morning. I'm too sleepy to do it now.
Check it out later. Thanks, Mike! |
