Suddenly a custom toolbar I called Macros, which included the record macro
button and many custom macros became EMPTY. Not just that, but now the record macro button cannot be found in the Macros pull down menu either. When editing macros with Visual Basic I cannot find in Normal.dot macros I made myself. So I have two questions: where can I find a record macro button, and where did all the other stuff go. Sincerely |

Try this:
http://www.officearticles.com/word/l...osoft_word.htm As for your normal.dot macros, I have no idea where they would have gone. ************ Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "NoExpert" wrote in message ... Anne, my problem is greater than that. I lost the "record new macro" button,
and I cant find it anywhere. I read about "corruption" all the time. If that happened, how do I restore things? Thanks for trying again. Got it! NOrmal.dot was corrupted indeed. Close Word, Rename Normal.dot (it
is usually in Documents and settings/User/Application data/Microsoft/templates. Normal.dot is recreated on restarting Word. Make sure folder options are set to show everything (Application Data is a hidden folder).
