On upgrading to Word 2003 , new documents the easy "insert auto text"
facility for headers and footersis not available. Previous versions provided a choice of headers and footers.I can still open old documents and have the facility. |

The function is only available if there are autotexts defined in the
header/dfooter paragraph style. The usual reason they are missing is saving a document as normal.dot. You can recover the defaults by renaming normal.dot and then use the organizer to copy your personal settings from the old one to the new one. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org BROOKHAMPTON wrote: On upgrading to Word 2003 , new documents the easy "insert auto text" facility for headers and footersis not available.
