![]() My Access Data base and my Word mailmerge document were both developed in version 97. Now that we have been upgraded to 2003 my "if" statements that are pointing to "yes/no" values in my Access file are no longer working. Sample: {IF {MERGEFIELD X} = "-1" "We are unable to respond to your request." ""} All other mergefields and statements converted with no problems....so far. Brenda -- BrendaV |

Not sure where this has been for the last several months, but if it is just
that you have the incorrect date on your computer, you may find this. Try selecting Options from the Tools menu and then go to the General tab and check the box against "Confirm conversions at open" and then when you attach the data source, try the different methods of connecting to the database. Alternatively, put a Mergefield X in the document (not inside the If...then...Else construct) and take a look at what values are being returned.
