Default Hittting enter above table and table doesn't appear on next pg

I have entered a table in a Word document. I wanted to enter text above it,
but as I hit enter above the table, the table seemed to go behind the next
page. The cursor also would disappear and the text on the following page
would not shift down at all. Any thoughts?

Right-click once somewhere in the table, and left-click on Table Properties |
Table tab | Text wrapping: None | OK.

Thanks for the help, but the table still disappears. Text wrapping was set to
none already.

What is on the next page? If it is a graphic image, format it as
"inline with text".

No, there is no graphic. Just more text. The one way that I got around the
problem was selecting the 1st page and pasting it into a new document, and
then pasting the second page in the new document. After that, the table
would appear on the next page when I would hit enter above it. It has not
resolved the issue tha tI had before, but I am able to work on the document
with no further issues.
