HI - I have created a large research document where the TOC was fine until I
went to print. Then the page numbers in my footer went (now just {PAGE} and
the table of contents went to {TOC \o "1-3"\h \z \u }

Has onyone out there any clues? I have rebuilt the doc from scratch (pasted
in via notepad to remove all heading tags) to no luck, and have opened past
working documents and they too are showing the same issue. I am using XP,

If this is what printed, go to the Print tab of Tools | Options and clear
the check box for "Field codes."

Press Alt+F9 to switch between display of field codes (what you
see now) and field results.
