When working with a Word 2003 document and after inserting a photo, i am
unable to move the photo around within the document. In the past, right clicking would give me "cross arrows" to move it around the page. Now after right clicking no "cross arrows" and unable to move. Why is this?? |

In previous versions, pictures were always inserted as floating graphics, which you can drag at will. In Word 2003 you can choose the default for inserting graphics, whether in-line with text or one of the floating options, but out of the box the default starts as in-line. If you prefer floating graphics, go to Tools Options Edit and change the dropdown labeled "Insert/paste pictures as". No matter which way the picture is inserted, you can click the Text Wrapping button on the Picture toolbar (while the picture is selected) and change it to any of the other options. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |
