I have a mailmerge document that I'm processing using code. Here is the idea
Most of the MERGEFIELDs are tied to the mailmerge data source. However there is a second set of fields that need to be replaced (or merged) with a different data source before the document is merged. The way I'm doing this is to prefix this subset of fields with an '@' and then replacing the whole field with the actual text. For the most part this works but it gets a little confusing for the user. I'm wondering if I need to use MERGEFIELD at all for this subset, or if I can make up my own collection of something else? Maybe there is a way to add comments to MERGEFIELDs ? Any ideas please? -- Michael Tissington http://www.oaklodge.com http://www.tabtag.com |
