I have attempted creating templates using autotext and shortcut keys then
protected the template as to prevent people adding in their styles while using the template. Unfortunately the shortcut keys do not work. What am I doing wrong? |

Yes I did save the shortcut keys into my template because I noted that in the
Customize Keyboard dialogue box it asks where you would like to "Save changes in:" and I changed it from the normal.dot to my newly created template. I tested the shortcut keys to ensure that they are working and then saved the template then set the Protect Document once that is on the shortcut keys do not work, yet the AutoText and styles work fine? I'm stumped. I don't usually use style protection, but I tried doing what
you are doing and had no trouble with it. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
