Can you lock cells in Word 2000 tables? If so, how?

Probably the best way is to use a fill-in form:

No. You can lock Sections in Word and those sections can include fields that
can be typed in, which can be in table cells. This is what Word calls an
"online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the
links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...nesInForms.htm.

Otherwise, you can build your table in Excel which will let you protect
individual cells and import the table into Word.

Hope this helps,
