I have a symbol which follows each line of type on my outgoing messages. It
kinda looks like II what does it mean and how do I get rid of it

If that is what it is, it is an end of paragraph mark.

Click the matching symbol on the toolbar (or CTRL+*) to hide the display of
these characters.
