Default I would like to configure the print screen function

I am trying to print a screen.( in this case the contents of a file) When I
hit the Alt+print screen buttons nothing.
happens. Any help would be appreciated.

What happens is that the screen is copied to the clipboard. You now need to
paste into Word or a graphics application eg Windows paint.

Default I would like to configure the print screen function

If this is something you want to be able to do routinely along with other
options, you may want to check out some of the screen capture utilities, such
as
