Can I change footer in multiple documents at same time?
I have about 60 MS Word documents and need to standardize the format of all
footers. Is there a way to do this simultaneously, without having to open each individual document? I'm hoping it can be done similar to changing attributes of multiple worksheets in Excel. Thanks, Rick |

Thanks, Rick The macro technique shown in http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm could be adapted to do what you need. To do the adaptation, though, you'd have to specify a lot more about the documents and their footers. Are the documents all in the same folder? Are they the only .doc files in that folder? Does any information in the existing footers need to be preserved? Exactly what goes into the new footers? Do you need to change the formatting as well as the content, and if so, to what? -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
