Default how do i save a "read-only" file to disk?

I received an employment application by email, and though I was able to make
the necessary changes to complete the application, when I tried to save it to
CD-r, windows tells me that the folder is marked read-only, and cannot be
saved. How can I save this file to CD?

Save it to your hard disk, then use your CD burning software to write it to
the CD. (Assuming your computer has a CD burner.)
