I have a user using MS word XP sp3, win2k workstation opening files from a
win2k server sp4. She opens .doc files and they are coming up read only, even though nobody else has them open, or the read only attribute is not set. If she closes the .doc and then reopens there is no problem. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this. Also, is there a way that you can be notified that when opening an office document it is opening read only? |

See the article "I keep getting files that I am working on locked for
editing. Word only allows me to open them read-only" at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/LockedFiles.htm -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested. Questions sent directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis. Hope this helps, Doug Robbins - Word MVP "Nate Weldon" wrote in message ...
