I want to have a long table in 2 columns. In the left I have numbered entries
1,2,3, etc each row has a sequential number opposite each in the 2nd col. I want to have multiple paragraphs taking the same number of the left habd col. So left hand col is 1 Right hand has 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. |

So left hand col is 1 Right hand has 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Are you familiar with outline numbering in Word (Format/Bullets and Numbering/Outline)? And are you familiar with styles? Best would certainly be to link two styles to two levels in an outline numbered list. Format column 1 with Level 1 and column 2 with level 2. If you need to be walked through this, please tell us which version of Word is involved. Why subscribe to something that you have to pay for when these newsgroups or
