Default How do I have numbering across rows in a table 1.1: 1.2: 2.1,2.2

I want to have a long table in 2 columns. In the left I have numbered entries
1,2,3, etc each row has a sequential number
opposite each in the 2nd col. I want to have multiple paragraphs taking the
same number of the left habd col.
So left hand col is 1
Right hand has 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc.

Hi ?B?VGFtYXI=?=,

Are you familiar with outline numbering in Word (Format/Bullets and
Numbering/Outline)? And are you familiar with styles? Best would certainly be to
link two styles to two levels in an outline numbered list. Format column 1 with
Level 1 and column 2 with level 2.

If you need to be walked through this, please tell us which version of Word is
involved.

Why subscribe to something that you have to pay for when these newsgroups or
a search at http://groups.google.com/groups/dir?...06782&expand=1 will
give you the answer to almost anything you want to know about Word (and
probably everything that you might get from docsonline).

Hope this helps.
