I have Office 2003 with Word 2003. When I go to the print menu, the printer
dialog is blank in the Name drop down but list my default printer is in the "Type:", a Dell Laser Printer. If I go to the "Name:" drop down, it shows "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" , "Fax", "Intuit internal Printer" and "Auto Dell300cn" on my other networked computer. If I try to go to "Find Printer..", I get an error message: "Directory service is currently unavailable." The Dell printer works with all my other applications and is listed as the default printer for XP in the Printer section of the Control Panel. I also have another printer, a Deskjet, that is installed on this computer and is listed as a printer on this computer that doesn't even show up in Word and as a consequence I can't print to that printer. I think the Microsoft digital image writer has caused the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks |
