How can I globally change a specific font throughout a Word document? Hi Ed, The best case would be if all the text you want to change has the same style applied to it. Then you just modify the style's font properties, and everything that has that style changes immediately. (The menu path is Format Style choose the style's name Modify Format Font.) If the document wasn't set up that way, you can use the Edit Replace dialog to apply a font change directly. Click the More button in the dialog to expand the bottom of the dialog. Click in the Find What box; then click the Format button, choose Font, and select the name of the current font. Click OK. Now click in the Replace With box, click Format Font, and choose the name of the new font. Click OK. The old and new fonts should be listed under the Find What and Replace With boxes, respectively; leave the boxes themselves empty. Click the Replace All button. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
