Default Combining Non-Columnar Text with Columnar Text

On a page, I have:
Text (non-columnar)
2 columns (that are not of even lengths)
How do I go back to non-columnar text?

At this time, I have data in the 1st column. When I created a column
break at the end, it wrapped the text in the column so the text is spread
evenly between 2 columns. It did the same thing when I created a
continuous section break at the end. I did not want it to do that. Help!!
Thanks!!

Instead of creating newspaper columns with the Format-Columns
command, you could create a two-column table with the
Table-Insert-Table command.

Insert a Continuous section break, then change the number of columns to one.
