Default Sending a Word Document via Outlook

Using Microsoft Office 2003, created a document in Word, then clicked Send.
Message did not send immediately. Instead it stayed in Microsoft Outlook
Outbox until Send/Receive was selected. How can system be configured to send
message immediately? Messages created in Outlook are sent immediately.

Hi ?B?TmFuY3k=?=,

You'll probably have better luck getting a knowledgeable answer about this in an
OUTLOOK newsgroup. Word can provide an editing interface, but what goes on
behind the scenes - the techology - is really something better understood by
Outlook folks.
