I have inherited an existing document and the Footer area does not exist.
(There is no border area for the footer in any of the sections of the document and no paragraph mark to type in.) I'm not sure how it was deleted in the first place. I could possibly use insert/file to get the data into a new document, but I am still wondering how this happened in the first place. I played with the footer margins, etc. under page setup and looked at the styles, but cannot find the answer. |

1. What is the bottom margin?
2. What is the footer margin? When you subtract the footer margin from the bottom margin (for instance footer is .5" and bottom is 1"), then you better have a positive value or you won't have any footer. Of course, the doc COULD be corrupt. I've seen it before. ************ Hope it helps! Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "sweetmans" wrote in message ... I had already checked the margins (both page and footer) prior to
posting....it is definitely not that. I was just wondering if there was any other way to remove the footer area...... *There doesn't seem to be any other problems with the document other than this "Anne Troy" wrote: 1. This very likely is an indication of document corruption; see
