Long delay to display print dialog box
I am using Word 2003 on Windows XP SP2 and an HP Laserjet 4250PS printer.
When I select the Print command from the File menu, there's a very long delay before the print dialog box appears. It can be up to a minute. Using the Print button on the toolbar works fine. The delay doesn't seem to occur in other Office 2003 programs, just Word. Thank you for any advice! -- Christine |

Is the printer on a network?

Yes it is. Other users connected to this same printer do not have the same

I deleted a disabled Dymo label printer and the problem went away.
