Usually in Word you can highlight a section of text and hit the backspace and
it deletes. For the past month or so I can't do that and I don't know what happened. The only way I can delete is by using the delete key. Also, you can usually highlight something and then type something else and it automatically deletes what was highlighted but it isn't doing that, either. Could it be a setting that I accidentally changed? I'd love to get help from anyone who might know. Thanks! |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK. JessicaN wrote: Usually in Word you can highlight a section of text and hit the backspace and it deletes. That will fix both problems. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
