Default "Fixing" picture in place on HTML docs.

No a great subject line - sorry.

My question :- when I save a web page (Save as Web Page (complete)), and
then open it in Word to edit it, the pictures are there as links, not as
graphics in the document. If I then save as a .doc file, and delete the
..html file, the graphics are deleted as well, and when the page is reopened
in word - no pictures.

Is there an easy, simple way to "fix" the pictures, so they are actually in
the .doc ? The same problem happens of course if I save the .doc file, and
then open it on a different PC - no pictures.

Thanks in advance

Select each graphic and press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink (and embed) it.

Thanks Susan - I've added that to my list of Keyboard shortcuts ! Is there
any way of doing ALL the pictures in a document at one time ?

Thanks again

Hi Rob,

If it started off as a web page rather than a Word document saved as a Web Page (.MHT or .HTM) when you open it you may be use
Edit=Links to select all of the linked items and check use break links there and pull the graphics in as part of the document.

If there are no other fields you want to stay linked (such as hyperlinks to
other Web pages), you can Select All (Ctrl+A) and Ctrl+Shift+F9. If the
graphics are In Line With Text, you can use Browse by Graphic to skip from
one to the next using the Browse Arrows (at the bottom of the vertical
scroll bar). Ctrl+Shift+F9 on the first one, then click the down arrow, F4,
click, F4, etc.

Just tried your solution Suzanne, and it worked wonderfully, AND it solved
another problem that I have had sometimes, in wanting to remove hyperlinks -
I've been going through removing them one at a time - Ctrl+Shift+F9 does the
WHOLE LOT in the document at once.

Thanks again.
