I have Acrobat Reader 7.0 on my computer, and I 'm not really familiar with
it. Please guide me on how to convert a Word document to PDF.

Easiest way is probably just to print your document. You should have a
'printer' called Adobe PDF or similar - just select it in the Print Dialog.

The free Adobe Reader allows you to open existing PDF files, but
it does not allow you to convert files from Word or other
applications to PDF format. To convert to PDF, you need the full
version of Adobe Acrobat or one of its many shareware/freeware
clones, and then print the file from Word to the PDFWriter
virtual printer using the File-Print command.

I think that's the problem I'm having because PDFWriter isn't on my computer.
Where can I get a freeware of this?

Thanks for your help.

I haven't tried them myself, but other users in this forum have favorably
mentioned CutePDF and PrimoPDF.

garfield-n-odie mentioned my favorite of the freebies: PrimoPDF

I've recommended it often enough that I think they need to pay me a
commission. www.primopdf.com.

Please note: If you are still using Windows 98, contact me privately. The
new version doesn't play well with 98. Fortunately I am a packrat and I
saved the old file. It's 10MB so we'll have to use yousendit.com but it's
doable.
