Default Can't open Word Doc saved in XP.

A colleague running Win XP has saved a Word Doc and posted it for download.
However the document unzipped is over 35 Meg and it hangs on several machines
running Win2k.

Any ideas why this is happening and if there are any work-arounds?

Thanks in advance,
D.

the document is probably damaged. Do you have any machines with Word 2003
installed that can open it successfully? If yes, save it to XML format, close,
then open again and save it back to Word document format. With any luck, that
will clean out the "gook" that's causing the problem.
