For some reason in the past few days I can't delete text after selecting text
and pressing the "backspace" button or selecting text and then typing other text which usually replaces the selected text. I'm not sure if I accidentally entered a command or if this is the result of an Automatic Office Update, but I really want it back the way it was!! Thanks for any suggestions. |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK. muelleba wrote: For some reason in the past few days I can't delete text after selecting text and pressing the "backspace" button or selecting text and then typing other text which usually replaces the selected text.
