Default Is there a limit to the number of pages a Word doc can hold?

No. The limit is 32 MB of text (graphics don't count). Some users report
creating documents upwards of 10,000 pages, but John McGhie (who should
know) says that Word will slow down to the point of unusability after about
2,500.
