Default Updating Links from Excel to Word

I have a form letter within Word, which I send out to multiple tenants of
mine. Everything written is the same except for the tenants name, address, &
rental due. This data is contained within one Excel sheet. Also, the rental
amounts change every now and then (which then needs to be updated in Word).

Is there a way I can have certain portions within the Word document "linked"
(& preferably automatically updated) to certain cells within an Excel sheet?
In the past, I have done the standard "Copy" & "Paste", but I have to keep
re-doing it every time I update the Excel data. Is there an easier way?
Thanks!

A mail merge is the best solution for your problem. Create a mail merge and
link it to your Microsoft Excel® worksheet.

Once you update the Microsoft Excel® data, you can tell Microsoft Word® to
get the most recent data from your Microsoft Excel® data source and complete
the mail merge.

Before I provide instructions, which version of Microsoft Word® and
Microsoft Excel® are you using?

Please reply to this post and I will guide you from there.

Thanks for your help.

I use the XP version for both Word and Excel.

Hi ?B?bWFjZQ==?=,

I use the XP version for both Word and Excel.

Apparently, Kimberly isn't following up on this. I believe
you'll find tutorial information on using mail merge at
word.mvps.org

If you have any further questions, I recommend asking them
in the word.mailmerge.fields newsgroup, where you should
get a reasonably timely response.
