I've had the same trouble as others with Outlook failing to close properly
with WinFax 10.03 installed so I'm trying to get rid of all traces of it. I tried Symantec's manual removal instructions after I used Add/Remove Programs to remove WinFax 10.03. But my Word still has Print to WinFax in the Toolbar, WinFax... on the File menu, and WinFax Mail Merge... on the Tools menu. I think they came into Word 2003 from Word 2002 as I upgraded to Office 2003. Any ideas on how to get rid of these Winfax entries? I'm trying to purge WinFax completely. |

Things you need to check include:
a. ensure your normal template does not have any autorun/autpopen macros that might load Winfax stuff b. Tools|Templates and Addins (remove/uncheck anything that you are sure is Winfax, and locate, make backup copy and remove the files the entrries refer to c. find your Startup folder and backup/remove any Winfax-related templates you may find there d. go into Tools|Customize and drag any icons/menu options you do not want into oblivion. (When you are in Tools|Customize, menus and toolbars behave in a different way. The Winfax instructions probably told you most of that, but maybe not (d). Peter Jamieson "#8Fan" wrote in message ...
