Numerous documents I have saved suddenly converted to all y's; what happened?
I recently took a windows update, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any ideas? Word 2002 Thanks in advance |

Display the File Open dialog and check that you have 'Word documents'
showing in the 'Files of Type' list. "Cocheese1023" wrote in message ... Numerous documents I have saved suddenly converted to all y's; what happened? I recently took a windows update, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any ideas? Word 2002 Thanks in advance |

I have Word Documents in the files of type list. But still no luck. The y's
actually look like this, ÿÿÿÿÿ. Not sure what is going on. Files that I have recently saved are ok.
