How do I inport a doc into the form I am creating?
I am creating a word doc to be used between departments. As the document
goes from dept to dept each person will add a word doc to the form as well as change some status via a dropdown. I have the form all created, but when I lock the form down there is no place to "add the required form". They can only type where I have created a place on the form, and even where I have created a few spaces, cut/paste is not an option for the user. Even when I insert a doc into a regular blank word doc the inserted doc opens up before it pastes. Will not juts drop in a file. |

My suggestion is to create where you want the new form to be pasted as an
unprotected section of your document - that is the only way in a form that will allow cut/paste. (That I've found). However, it will not be protected when forwarded to the next department by this process. I hope this helps a little. "jridm" wrote: I am creating a word doc to be used between departments. so lock the document, then create a text box that is unprotected and insert
the data to that box? so doc is locked but insert box is not? I will try...what about when I Insert for some reason I do not insert a file, but the actual doc in its normal form? It sort of jumps in. Thanks for your input.
