I'm using MS Word 2002 (10.2627.2625). I often copy or cut text or images to
insert into a word document. Whenever I start Word, there is a delay before I can enter any info. During this delay, the clipboard is cleared and I need to go back and copy or cut the item again. I haven't been able to find any options to prevent this from happening. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

There are a number of Word add-ins that clear the Clipboard on startup. The
most notorious is the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word. If you got Word as part of Works Suite but are using it freestanding (not starting it from the Works Task Launcher), uninstall the add-in using Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs. -- Suzanne S.
