We use a 3 of 9 barcode font to generate labels via a mail merge and have had
no problems with it until we recently switched from an NT4 / Word 97
environment to an XP SP2 / Word 2003 SP2 environment. We now find that none
of the printed barcodes can be scanned. It appears that Word 2003 is now
adding a paragraph marker to the barcode text which causes the scan failure.
I have tried using other fonts without success. This problem doesn't affect
the use of the font in Access or Excel 2003.

Any ideas ?
