Default How do I allow hyperlinks to work in protected a Word document??

I need to protect some fillable forms (using form fields and protect
document), but also allow hyperlinks within the document to work once I have
protected the form fields. I have tried creating a form field with the link
in it, but no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
