If I open a new doc and insert eq. Ed 3.0 and define styles for Text,
variables. etc. where are these stored? Are they in Normal.dot so the next time I open a document I will get thew same Eq. Editor styles. |

They're stored only in the document itself.
To force them into the template, when you define the styles, click the "Add to template" button. That forces the styles to be added to the template. There is no "Add to template" button in the Styles window in Microsoft
Eq.Editor 3.0. These are not MS Word paragraph styles. The window only allows definition of Font/Bold/Italic: Font Bold Italic Text Function Variable L.C. Greek U.C.Greek Symbol Matrix-Vector Number "John McGhie [MVP - Word and Word Macintosh]" wrote in : They're stored only in the document itself. Have a look on the MathType website. Equation Editor is a cut-down of MathType. If your specific question is not answered there, post a question: Bob Matthews is very good about answering them.
