Default Where are Eq. Editor options stored?

If I open a new doc and insert eq. Ed 3.0 and define styles for Text,
variables. etc. where are these stored? Are they in Normal.dot so the next
time I open a document I will get thew same Eq. Editor styles.

They're stored only in the document itself.

To force them into the template, when you define the styles, click the "Add
to template" button. That forces the styles to be added to the template.
If you don't check that box for each style definition or update, they won't
be.

Cheers

There is no "Add to template" button in the Styles window in Microsoft
Eq.Editor 3.0. These are not MS Word paragraph styles.
The window only allows definition of Font/Bold/Italic:
Font Bold Italic
Text
Function
Variable
L.C. Greek
U.C.Greek
Symbol
Matrix-Vector
Number

Ah. Sorry... My bad...

Have a look on the MathType website. Equation Editor is a cut-down of
MathType. If your specific question is not answered there, post a question:
Bob Matthews is very good about answering them.
