Default File sz 1600kb, pictures total less than 200kb in 4 pages text.

Have tried taking out each picture to find which is culprit, but none are -
seems to be hidden in the text, but can't find it.
I have been saving as I go, seems to have also saved the redundant info
aswell, though is not showing in opened file.

Hi stargirl,

Try to copy and paste the entire document - except the last paragraph mark -
to a new document. When you save this document, is it just as big?

Good luck,
Cooz
