Default How do I activate the My Places bar?

The online help tells how to use the bar, but not how to activate it. On my
PC it's dimmed out.

Talk to your System Administrator. They've locked you out of the section of
the registry you need. It's a mistake...

Probably

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Co mmon\Open
Find\Places

and the keys below it (the 9.0 applies for Office 2000; use 10.0 for
Office XP, or 11.0 for Office 2003).

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=205041 for more information.
