Default How do I separate a Table of Figures from a Table of Tables?

When I update the Table of Figures the Table of Tables get lumped in - how
can I separate them? The TOC works fine. This is a big document

Do you mean that updating one updates both or that updating the TOF results
in the TOT getting inserted into it? One of the problems with TOC fields is
that it's all too easy to get text (including another field) inside them.
You need to display the field codes (Alt+F9) and make sure that there is a
paragraph mark *outside* the field between it and any following text or
fields.
