I'm using Office 2003, Professional. I need the "average" symbol - an x with
a bar above it. In general, more math and science related symbols would be nice. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Use an EQ field: { eq \o (x, ¯) }. Or download a maths and science symbol

An alternative field coding is:
{EQ \s\up6(\f(,X))} This has the advantage of not increasing the line spacing, plus you can control the exact height of the horizontal bar (by changing the 6). Cheers "ccm" wrote in message ...
