I want to retain blank lines for blank fields in a mail merge. Where do I
set this? It was so easy in Word 2000. My merge works fine except for this one problem. |

In Tools|Customize|Commands, select category All Commands, then look for
MailMergeHelper and drag it to a menu or toolbar. NB, Word 2003 does not suppress blank lines if the relevant fields are nested in an IF or INCLUDETEXT field, whatever setting you choose, but that should not cause a problem in the situation where you want to retain blank lines.
