I was getting some error messages with MS Word so I decided to reinstall it.
After installation, however, I can't find the Word program anywhere and I don't know how to run it. The installation completes fine, and Word is listed under "Add/Remove Programs". However, I can't find MS Word in any folders, and I even did a file search and didn't find anything. I run Win XP Home Ed and keep up to date w/ updates. The MS Word is 2002, and is part of MS Works Suite 2004. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting in different combinations and orders, and no luck. Thank you. |

Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to search for the WINWORD.EXE
file on your hard drive (it might be in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10" folder). If you find it, right-click on the file, and left-click on Create Shortcut to create a shortcut to Word on your Windows desktop. goliath624 wrote: I was getting some error messages with MS Word so I decided to reinstall it. File not found. It does find WINWORD.EXE-0614BEA2.pf in C:\WINDOWS\PREFETCH;
that's the only result. It's really weird cause if I go to the control panel, and click on "Add/Remove Programs", Microsoft Word is listed on the programs list. But there's no sign of the program. I have already tried uninstalling it, and installing it again, and the problem persists. What now?
